Our story · Since 2017

We don't host a convention.
We built a culture.

Mission

A platform — not just an event.

COMFEST was born in 2017 with one promise: that Kuwait deserves a flagship pop culture festival on the world stage. Nine editions later, we are the GCC's number-one destination for anime, comics, gaming, cinema and cosplay.

We've welcomed Mads Mikkelsen, Tom Hiddleston, Elizabeth Olsen, Milly Alcock, and a legendary roll-call of Japanese voice actors — Yuki Kaji, Masakazu Morita, Kazuki Yao, Junko Takeuchi, Hideo Ishikawa, Naoya Uchida, Kikunosuke Toya — alongside Robin Lord Taylor and dozens more.

We've delivered the GCC's first exclusive Funko Pops, the first SWAU-authorized signings, the first JSA on-site grading, and the first visits from Japan's most beloved voice talent. Every edition raises the bar for what a fan event can be in the region.
